The San Bernardino Police Officers Association is endorsing Bessine Richard for re-election to the San Bernardino City Council in Ward 6.
“San Bernardino’s Police Officers are proud to stand with Councilwoman Bessine Richard,” said San Bernardino Police Officers Association President Brian Lewis.
“Councilwoman Richard has been a clear and strong voice for the people of the 6th Ward. We know she will continue to fight hard for the best interests of the residents she serves and to make all of San Bernardino safer,” Lewis said.
“I want to express my sincerest thanks to our Police Officers for supporting my re-election to the City Council,” said Richard. “We are working together to expand community policing and create a safer community for 6th Ward families.”
Bessine Richard was elected with 63% of the vote to her first term on the City Council in 2016. Born and raised on the Westside of San Bernardino, Richard was chosen last year to serve as Mayor Pro Temp, the city’s 2nd highest elected position.
